Tutor Groups

At UTCC we have a vertical tutor group system which means that we have students from years 10 to 13 in one form.

This gives our younger students the opportunity to get to know and learn from their elder peers and an opportunity for our older students to have a mentoring role.

If you have any queries whilst at college your form tutors are your first port of call and you should contact them to inform them about absences and lateness. Your form tutors are also there if you need advice or support. They put aside one period a week to run mentoring sessions for all of the students in their tutor groups. This gives both tutors and students an opportunity to see how they are progressing and to discuss strategies to help improve performance if it is needed.
